The $150K Six-Hour Launchpad: How To Launch A Token On Genius.fun

After reviewing a lot of token launchpads at this point, including Genius.fun, I’ve found that most are just variations on the same idea, pick a name, pick a ticker, hit launch, and hope the chart goes up.

Yet Genius.fun is the first one I’ve looked at recently that’s genuinely trying to do something structurally different with that same familiar interface.

Instead of stopping at “trade this token,” it’s building toward “pool enough of these tokens together and actually acquire a piece of a real, publicly listed company.” I spent time going through the platform directly, and I think the mechanics underneath it are worth walking through properly.

Genius.fun Launches As A New Kind Of RWA Launchpad

Genius, operating under the GeniusTerminal brand, rolled out genius.fun as a real-world-asset launchpad built on BNB Chain. The core idea is that tokenized shares created through the platform can be split and pooled together, letting holders coordinate collective stakes in listed firms rather than just holding a claim they can trade back and forth. I think that framing matters a lot.

Most tokenized equity products I’ve seen stop at secondary trading, you get exposure to a stock’s price without ever touching the underlying coordination that comes with actual ownership. Genius.fun is explicitly positioning itself as pushing past that limit, treating tokenization as a way to organize collective buying power rather than just a wrapper for speculation.

What Makes Genius.fun Different From A Typical Launchpad

What struck me most going through the platform myself is how deliberately it splits a token’s economics into two completely different destinies. Every token launched on Genius.fun carries a 2% total trading fee, and where that fee goes depends entirely on a choice the creator makes at launch.

One path sends the fee toward a Genius Foundation vault, with the platform explaining directly on the create page that routing fees there is what enables the underlying tokenized equities to eventually be unwrapped, meaning that path is the one actually tied to real-world acquisition. The other path is a straightforward creator payout, which behaves much closer to a standard meme coin creator fee.

I don’t think most launchpads make that distinction this explicit, and I think forcing creators to actively pick one path over the other, right at the point of launch, is a smart way to keep the platform’s actual mission from getting diluted by people just chasing a quick creator fee.

How To Actually Launch A Token On Genius.fun

I went through the process myself, and it breaks down into a handful of straightforward steps once you’re on the create page.

    1. Connect your wallet. Head to genius.fun, click Create, and connect your wallet before anything else, the form won’t let you get far without it.
    2. Fill in the token basics. Enter a name and symbol for your token, drag in or upload an optional token image, and write a short description explaining what it’s about. Social links are available here too, but they’re optional.
    3. Set your launch parameters. Choose a quote currency, currently BNB, which is what your token will trade against, and decide on an optional opening buy in BNB if you want to seed the launch with your own purchase. Leaving it blank launches the token without one.The $150K Six-Hour Launchpad: How To Launch A Token On Genius.fun
    4. Pick your fee destination. Choose between routing fees to the Genius Foundation, which feeds the platform’s real-world acquisition mechanism, or a straightforward creator payout that behaves more like a standard meme coin fee. This choice matters more than any other field on the form.
    5. Review the terms before committing. The platform is upfront that supply and curve terms become immutable at launch, liquidity locks permanently after graduation, and names or logos can technically be copied by anyone, none of which the platform itself can undo once you’re live. The $150K Six-Hour Launchpad: How To Launch A Token On Genius.fun
    6. Launch and pay the fee. Deploying costs 0.002 BNB plus network fees, and once you confirm, your token goes live on the curve immediately.

Choosing Between The Genius Foundation And Creator Payout

I want to spend a bit more time on this fee split because I think it’s the most important decision on the entire form. If you route fees to the Genius Foundation, the total 2% trading fee breaks down into 1% going toward foundation accumulation, 0.25% as a creator payout, 0.5% toward the Genius platform itself, and the remaining 0.25% going toward a mandatory meme buyback-and-burn mechanism, with purchased tokens actually burned rather than recycled. That foundation share accumulates in a shared vault held in BNB, and the platform is explicit that vault assets belong to the foundation, with meme holders holding no redemption claim over it. That last line is worth sitting with, choosing the foundation path means you’re contributing to a collective pool aimed at real acquisitions, not banking a personal claim on that pool yourself.

If you choose creator payout instead, you’re opting into the more familiar model where a larger share of the fee routes directly back to you as the token’s creator. Neither option is inherently better, but I think understanding that trade-off before launching matters more here than on almost any other launchpad I’ve reviewed.

    The Numbers Six Hours In

Whatever the platform’s long-term ambitions look like, the early traction numbers are genuinely striking. Just six hours after Genius.fun went live, token deployers had already earned a combined 150 BNB in creator rewards, with creators able to earn up to 1.25% of collected fees depending on which path they chose.

I don’t think that kind of number happens by accident on a launch day, it suggests real trading volume moved through the platform almost immediately rather than trickling in gradually the way most new launchpads experience.

Why The $10,000 Buyback And$GCAT’s Rise Matter

The platform is also backing its own foundation model with a concrete commitment: Genius Foundation plans to buy $10,000 worth of the highest market cap token launched on the platform on September 25. That’s a direct, dated action tied to whichever token is leading at that moment, which gives creators a real incentive to route toward the foundation path rather than just theorizing about its benefits.

As of now, 26 tokens have successfully graduated on the platform, and the current leader by a wide margin is Genius Cat, trading as $GCAT, sitting at roughly a $1.28 million market cap. I went through the create page myself using a token named exactly that, Genius Cat with the ticker GCAT, which tracks with what’s clearly become the platform’s flagship early success story.

The $150K Six-Hour Launchpad: How To Launch A Token On Genius.fun

Whether that momentum holds through the September 25 buyback and beyond is the part I’ll actually be watching, but for a launchpad barely a day into its life pushing real trading volume and real creator earnings this fast, I think it’s earned more attention than the average token-generator site gets on launch day.
