    TLDR:

    • Bitcoin ETF inflows reached about $626 million from Aug. 3–5, with BlackRock IBIT collecting roughly $479 million across the three sessions.
    • Whale wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC accumulated more than 20,000 BTC worth about $1.2 billion since July 29, according to Santiment.
    • Bitcoin has not broken decisively higher despite renewed ETF demand, suggesting some institutional allocation may be tactical rather than broad risk-on buying.
    • A confirmed break above the inverse head-and-shoulders neckline near $66,800 could open a measured move toward $76,000, while $63,321 is key support.

U.S. Bitcoin ETF inflows are accelerating again as large holders accumulate BTC below the $65,000 level. Spot Bitcoin funds drew about $626 million from Aug. 3 through Aug. 5. BlackRock’s IBIT dominated that run, collecting roughly $479 million across the three sessions.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin traded near $64,300 on Aug. 7, still below a key technical breakout zone. On-chain data also shows large wallets expanding exposure while smaller holders reduce activity.

The split suggests regulated products and large accounts are absorbing supply without triggering broad speculative demand. That leaves traders watching whether institutional Bitcoin demand can push the price above nearby resistance.

U.S. Bitcoin ETF Inflows Concentrate in BlackRock IBIT

Bitcoin ETF inflows reached $170.1 million on Aug. 3, with seven funds recording positive flows. IBIT led that session with $111.4 million. The following day brought another $211.49 million, including $170.35 million for IBIT. On Aug. 5, total flows climbed to $244.4 million. IBIT contributed $196.83 million, or roughly four-fifths of that daily amount.

The first three August sessions also exceeded July’s $172.43 million total by more than three times overall.

The concentration matters since the money is not spreading evenly across every listed product. BlackRock captured most of the three-day inflow, highlighting investor preference for a large and liquid vehicle. However, daily fund data cannot reveal the original source of each dollar. Purchases may reflect fresh cash, portfolio rebalancing, fund rotations, or basis trades paired with short futures.

That distinction limits how far traders can interpret Bitcoin ETF inflows as broad market conviction. ETF shares offer traditional investors regulated exposure without moving coins directly through crypto exchanges.

Meanwhile, broader spot participation still looks less forceful than the ETF numbers alone suggest. Bitcoin has not produced a decisive upside breakout despite several sessions of positive fund flows. Analysts therefore view part of the current demand as potentially tactical rather than a long-term allocation.

Whale Buying Builds as Bitcoin Eyes a $76,000 Breakout

On-chain activity strengthens the institutional demand narrative. Santiment data shows wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC accumulated more than 20,000 BTC since July 29. That position was worth about $1.2 billion at recent market prices. Smaller holders, by contrast, have shown weaker buying activity.

Lookonchain also reported fresh large-wallet withdrawals. One newly created wallet withdrew 434.87 BTC, worth about $27.96 million, from Binance. A day earlier, four new wallets reportedly received 1,540 BTC from Galaxy Digital and BitGo.

These transfers do not identify the ultimate owners or prove long-term accumulation. However, exchange withdrawals and rising large-wallet balances can reduce immediately available supply when coins move into custody.

Bitcoin price action now provides the next test. The daily chart is tracing a possible inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. The setup includes a left shoulder near $60,000, a head near $57,700, and a right shoulder around $62,500.

The neckline sits near $66,800. A decisive break above that level would confirm the pattern for many technical traders. The measured target sits near $76,000, based on the pattern depth. The setup remains unconfirmed while Bitcoin trades below resistance.

Downside risk centers near the 50-day simple moving average around $63,321. A break below that level could weaken the bullish structure. Regulatory uncertainty also persists after the U.S. Senate delayed action on the CLARITY Act until at least September.

As of Aug. 7, Bitcoin traded near $64,300, leaving the $66,800 neckline above price and the 50-day moving average near $63,321 below it for traders today.
